Son de Mar

These artworks have as their starting point the hypnotic movement of shoals of fish.

These sculptures use recycled wood found on the beach combined with stone, metal wire, and charcoal to achieve a dynamic and moving effect.

The title is "Son de mar". It comes from a Spanish nautical term that consists of preparing the ship to go out to sea by fastening everything down that can move. How the shoals appear, forever changing but always organized,  moving through the sea´s foaming swirl, reminds me of those boats prepared for the storm.
